Our Only Objective:
Help to create a casteless society in Nepal
In order to accomplish this objective, NASO Community will:
1. Help the socially, economically and politically backward marginalized minority communities of Nepal improve their status by encouraging in education, bringing political awareness, making them understand that caste system is inhuman, all human beings are the same and teach them how to live a life with pride. For this purpose, NASO Community may be involved in mobilizing political workers, government officials, NGO workers and the human right activists and any other institutions/organizations working towards the similar goals. The society may seek help from national/international personalities who support the society’s goal.
2. Raise the voice in international level for the atrocities committed based on caste discrimination in Nepal. It will seek help, advice and moral support from institutions, organizations, individuals and government of the United States and Canada (at least for present) to eliminate the inhuman caste discrimination.
3. Pressurize the Nepal government to legalize and enforce the maximum punishment for who commit atrocities based on the caste discriminations. A separate constitutional body should be created to enforce punishment to those who practice caste discrimination.
4. Lobby the senators, congressman and other US government officials to pressurize the Nepal government to achieve the goal of eliminating caste discrimination.
5. Focus to eliminate the intra-caste (caste discrimination within so called “low caste”) discrimination understanding the fact that intra-caste discrimination is becoming one of the major problems within the society.
6. Participate is international/national conventions, seminars, meetings to towards to goal of eliminating the caste discrimination.
7. Work with Nepalese/International NGOs/INGOs for various other activities conducted within Nepal. This will include income generating, skills training, education and so on.
8. Take efforts to bring political awareness in the marginalized minority communities so that the community members can participate in various opportunities within Nepal.
